Did you know that a tiger—one of the most powerful predators on earth—only succeeds in about 10% of its hunts? That means for every ten times it tries to eat, it fails eight or nine times.
Now, look at wolves. Their hunting success rate is around 25%. But if you look at the African Wild Dog, their success rate skyrockets to an average of 80% (ranging from 60% to 90%).
Why is the difference so massive? It’s simple: The Pack.

Tigers hunt alone. They rely on individual stealth and raw power. Wolves and Wild Dogs, however, are social athletes who understand the power of a team. In a pack, everyone has a specific role. They don’t all try to do the same thing at the same time; they leverage each other’s unique strengths to reach a common goal.
Building a Corporate “Pack” We need to build our teams the same way. Too often, we try to work like tigers—smart, strong, and talented, but ultimately siloed.
This is where the Center of Excellence (COE) comes in. While the name sounds formal, the concept is simple: it is the “Brain of the Pack.” It’s about gathering people with different “superpowers” in one place. One person might be a technical wizard, while another is a master of strategic planning.
When we bring these different strengths together, we stop struggling in isolation and start winning as a unit.
If One Learns, We All Learn To make this work, we must move past a culture of “individual performers” and toward a culture of collective growth. If a teammate is struggling, the pack steps in to carry the load. If one person masters a new skill, they don’t keep it a secret—they share it.
The goal is clear: When one person learns something new, the whole team “levels up.” That is how you move from a 10% success rate to 90%.
Let’s stop building silos of individuals. Let’s start building Packs.
